Become a Resident Assistant

Resident Assistants (RAs) are student leaders who help create safe, welcoming, and inclusive residential communities. Living in the residence halls alongside their residents, RAs serve as mentors, resources, and community builders while supporting students throughout the academic year.

Whether you're helping a new student adjust to campus, planning community events, or assisting during an on-call shift, you'll play an important role in the residential experience at Skidmore.

About the Resident Assistant position

  • Serve as a resource for students living on your floor.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive living environment.
  • Complete on-call responsibilities and building rounds.
  • Support Residential Life initiatives and campus policies.

Students who have completed at least one semester of residential living at Skidmore are eligible to apply.
