Make campus home

At Skidmore, campus housing keeps students close to classes, dining, activities, friends, and support. Students of all class years live in eight residence halls grouped in two residential quads, while Northwoods Village and Sussman Village apartments are home mostly to seniors and some juniors. Seven of eight residence halls offer suite-style living, and apartments add kitchens and shared living spaces for greater independence.

Students can also choose Special Interest Communities centered on shared interests, identities, and ways of living, from sustainability and global perspectives to LGBTQ+ community, quiet living, and substance-free housing.

Residence halls

Students from across class years live in Skidmore’s eight residence halls, grouped in the North and South quads. Seven feature suite-style living, and all offer shared spaces, free laundry facilities, and support from Residential Life staff.

Apartments

Northwoods Village and Sussman Village are home primarily to seniors and some juniors. Furnished apartments include bedrooms, a shared living room, a kitchen, and bathroom facilities, giving students more independence without leaving campus.

Special interest communities

Choose to live with students who share an interest, identity, or approach to community. Options include sustainability, global and multicultural communities, Prism for LGBTQ+ students, quiet living, substance-free living, and a women’s floor.
