*Late Applications - Financial aid awards will first be determined for all applications completed and received on-time. Late applications will be considered on a funds-available basis.

Complete the FAFSA. (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Beginning with the 2024-25 FAFSA, all FAFSA contributors (student, parents) must provide approval to the Department of Education to have a direct data exchange with the IRS regardless of whether the contributor has filed a tax return* in order for the FAFSA to be valid. The direct data exchange will include information from both tax filers and non-tax filers. All FAFSA contributors must have a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID and password. You may reuse your previously created FSA ID and password. Parents without a social security number will be able to obtain an FSA ID for the 2024-2025 cycle. *There will be some instances whereby manual entry of tax information will be required such as when a tax return is filed with another country. |
NYS Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) Application *New York State Residents Only* |
The TAP program requires completion of both the FAFSA and the TAP Application. For the 2024-25 TAP cycle, a student can apply for TAP prior to filing the 2024-25 FAFSA using https://www.tap.hesc.ny.gov/totw/. Be sure to list Skidmore College (0855) in the school section.
