  • Opportunities in the Health Professions Guide
    This Guide can be found in the Resources/Document Library tab of MyCDC Account.
    This guide is regularly updated and currently contains about 36 pages of leads for students to consider.
  • Jobs/Internships Tab
    Get help from a PAL! Search MyCDC account for Parent and Alumni listings using the "Position Type" search feature. In addition to the PAL postings, you will find postings from other friends of the College.
  • Passport Career
    Select Passport Career (on the left) once you sign in to MyCDC Account to obtain login info.
    Passport Career is your online career resource that will help you to explore opportunities around the world! You may be seeking a job, internship, volunteer work, or are studying abroad. In any situation, Passport Career provides extensive resources, guidance, strategies, tools and support to help you make your career move.
  • Liberal Arts Career NetWORK (LACN):
    This resource is a consortium of 31 top liberal arts colleges and universities that collaborates to position students and graduates for a competitive advantage in the global marketplace. The LACN job and internship database markets internships, summer positions, and full-time jobs to students from these schools. Spotlight on Careers is a collaborative resource of online guides of career fields popular with liberal arts students and graduates.  
  • Nationwide Internships Consortium (NIC):
    This resource provides internship listings and opportunities to students and alumni of member institutions. Since 1997, NIC has connected employers to a talented and diverse pool of candidates.

Please Note: The Career Advisor Network is an opt-in system; content is generated by profiles submissions filled out by Career Advisors. Profiles are updated when Career Advisors (a) submit a new registration, or (b) update their profile at College Events, such as Reunion.  

Skidmore College Career Connections LinkedIn Group

Currently, Skidmore has about 15,000 students and alumni on LinkedIn, and this group is one of many. Skidmore College Career Connections is a networking group for Skidmore students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and others affiliated with Skidmore managed by the Career Development Center.

Career Counseling Appointments

Appointments are available for Skidmore students and alumni to meet with career counselors in-person or via phone/Zoom. Please call 518-580-5790 to set up an appointment.

Daily Drop-Ins

Drop-ins are held daily during the academic year from 2 to 4 p.m. (M, T, W, F) and 2–3:30 p.m. (Th) in the Career Development Center, and in Lucy Scribner Library from 8 to 10 p.m. (M, T, W)
E-Resume review hours are held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday–Thursday. E-mail your resume or cover letter to: careercoach@skidmore.edu
