The box office accepts cash, personal checks, and major credit cards. Processing fees apply to online and credit card orders. All sales are final unless a performance is canceled or otherwise noted.

Enter campus from North Broadway and turn left onto Perimeter Road. Zankel will be the first building on your right. 

Parking

The main event parking area is Arts Quad Parking A, located to the left after you enter campus from North Broadway. Additional spaces are available in Arts Quad Parking B. Parking may also be available in the Palamountain and Case Center lots. Review the campus map before your visit, and allow extra time to park before popular performances.

Seating

Seating varies by performance. Most events offer general admission seating, with seats available on a first-come, first-served basis. Select performances offer assigned seating; when applicable, a seating chart will be available when purchasing tickets online. For help selecting seats or arranging accessible seating, please contact the box office before purchasing tickets.

Accessibility

Helen Filene Ladd Concert Hall and its public restrooms are accessible. Accessible parking is available near the main entrance, and a passenger drop-off area is located beside the entrance ramp. Guests with specific seating or access needs should contact the box office when purchasing tickets.

Assistive listening headsets are available from the box office and may be used from any seat in the concert hall.

Venue policies

Arriving late: Latecomers are admitted at the first appropriate pause in the performance and seated at the event manager’s discretion. A video and audio feed in the lobby allows late-arriving guests to follow the performance while they wait.

Photography and recording: Photography, video, and audio recording are not permitted during performances. Please silence phones and other electronic devices before the performance begins.

Food and drinks: Food and beverages are not permitted in the concert hall. Zankel does not offer concessions.

Event-specific information: Some performances may have additional ticketing, age, seating, or entry guidelines. Review the individual event page before attending.

Smoking or vaping: Skidmore College is a smoke-free campus. No smoking or vaping is allowed on the property. 

Service animals: Qualified service animals are welcome. Emotional support animals are not permitted. 

Frequently asked questions

When should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 20–30 minutes before the performance to allow time for parking, ticket pickup, and seating. If seating is general admission, arriving early will give you the best choice of seats.

When do doors open?
Doors typically open approximately 30 minutes before the performance. Opening times may vary by event.

What happens if I arrive late?
You may be asked to wait until an appropriate pause before entering the hall. A live video and audio feed is available in the lobby.

Can I buy tickets at the door?
Yes, when tickets are still available. The box office opens one hour before ticketed performances, but we recommend purchasing in advance for events that may sell out. 

What should I do if a performance is sold out?
Check back online or contact the box office, as tickets may occasionally become available closer to the performance. Additional tickets cannot be guaranteed.

Can I bring children?
Absolutely. Children and young people are welcome at Zankel, and admission is free for ages 18 and under. We encourage families to consider the length and nature of the program when deciding whether a performance is a good fit for younger children.
