Commencement 2023
With charges to use the lessons of a liberal arts education to make positive change in the world, Skidmore College conferred 634 degrees to the Class of 2023 during the College’s 112th Commencement Exercises at SPAC on Saturday, May 20.
Commencement 2022
Family, friends, trustees, alumni, faculty, and staff gathered to celebrate at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) on Saturday, May 21. It was the first time the ceremony was held fully in person and was open to all since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Commencement 2021
While remaining socially distant, most of the 371 graduates to receive Bachelor of Arts degrees and 199 recipients of Bachelor of Science degrees attended to receive their diplomas in person.
Commencement 2020
The Skidmore College community came together online to celebrate the creativity and resilience of the Class of 2020, whose final semester was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Commencement 2019
On May 18, Skidmore graduated 622 creative seniors at its 108th Commencement Exercises. The Class of 2019 heard remarks from author Alan Lightman and Baseball Hall of Famer Joe Torre, who both received honorary degrees.
Commencement 2018
The Class of 2018 heard remarks from distinguished honorary degree recipients: Alison Bechdel, acclaimed author, cartoonist, MacArthur fellow and Tony Award winner, and Robert S.D. Higgins, M.D., Johns Hopkins Hospital's surgeon-in-chief and world-renowned authority in the field of heart and lung transplantation and coronary bypass surgery.
Commencement 2017
Honorary degree recipients Ann Tisch, Wes Moore and Oprah Winfrey joined 624 members of the Class of 2017 at Skidmore’s 106th Commencement.

598 creative and critical Skidmore College graduates made their transition out into the world at the 105th Commencement ceremony.

Skidmore sent another 639 creative and critical college graduates out into the world at the 104th Commencement ceremony.

The Class of 2014 walked across the stage to applause and cheers at the 103rd Commencement ceremony.

The Class of 2013 received their diplomas and headed out into the world to meet their destinies at the 102nd Commencement ceremony.

Grammy Award winner Terence Blanchard made the journey with the Class of 2012 from their first year summer reading through to their graduation ceremony.

652 members of the Class of 2011 celebrated a centennial of Commencement ceremonies, and marked the closing of the University Without Walls program.
