About Skidmore College EMS

Skidmore College EMS (SCEMS) was founded in 2013 and strives to provide professional, effective and confidential life-saving emergency medical care to the Skidmore Community. SCEMS works closely with the Skidmore College Office of Campus Safety, the dean of student affairs, the Office of Residential Life and Health Services to ensure the safety of all students, faculty, staff and visitors on the Skidmore Campus. SCEMS also works closely with the Saratoga Springs Fire Department, Empire Ambulance and Saratoga County to ensure that highest-quality EMS care is available to the Skidmore Campus. SCEMS is funded entirely by the Skidmore College Student Government Association, and is thus completely free of charge.

SCEMS is run by Chief Katie Pelham '20, Deputy Chief Melanie Aftandilian '20, Operations Manager JC Guzman, Medical Director Michael W. Dailey, M.D., the student Officer Board of SCEMS and the Skidmore Advisory Board to SCEMS.
