Summer Course Auditor Instructions:
1. Select course(s).
Auditors are permitted to audit a maximum of two courses per summer session. Select courses using the online master schedule and the summer sessions course descriptions. Please note that summer studio art courses and workshops are not available to auditors. If you wish to participate in a non-credit studio art workshop, you must apply as a visiting student using the visiting student application.
2. Request instructor’s permission via email.
Use the faculty directory to find instructor’s email address.
3. Forward instructor’s email granting you permission to audit the course to email@example.com.
4. Apply online.
Summer Session I registration period for auditors: May 6–17, 2019

Summer Session II registration period for auditors: June 10–21, 2019
Auditor Application Session II (Available June 10, 2019)
- Application fee: $60 (non-refundable) via credit card on the online auditor application, per session.
- $250 per course: if you are younger than 55 years old
- $25 per course: alumni and 55 years or older
- Athletic facilities fee (optional): $100 per session
- Employees and dependents are responsible for all associated course fees (lab, materials, etc.)
Eligible employees/dependents may participate in programs offered by the Office of Special Programs without payment of tuition for some programs and courses, provided they are open after the regular registration preiod. All registration and material fees for the programs/courses must be paid. A partial tuition fee may be required for some programs/courses.
Please note: Students exclusively auditing courses do not have access to supplemental services such as the Health Center, Counseling Services, Student Academic Services, departmental tutoring, etc. Use of the sports center is by special fee only.
Students are not permitted to audit studio art courses, courses with limited seating or courses in which the instructor does not permit auditing.
Blackboard: To obtain Blackboard access for your course, please do the following two actions: (1) Provision your Skidmore account and obtain your username by going to IT Help Desk in the Library (firstname.lastname@example.org or 518-580-5900); (2) email Beth DuPont at email@example.com to tell her you have provisioned your account. Please include your name, student ID and course number; let her know you need Blackboard access.
