November 30, 2012

Lehrhaupt and RothSkidmore College juniors Rosalind Rothwell (left) and Madison Lehrhaupt will present their research on newspaper accounts of the Northern Campaign of the American Revolutionary War on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. in Davis Auditorium of Palamountain Hall. As summer interns with the Saratoga National Historical Park, the two students researched how newspapers published in New York and New England portrayed the 1777 campaign by the British to control the strategically important Hudson Valley. The campaign led to the American victory at the Battle of Saratoga. The students will be joined by Gina Johnson, chief of interpretation at the Saratoga Battlefield. The event is open to the public free of charge.
