Mission
The Council’s mission will focus on increasing the presence (and impact) of diversity
and inclusion initiatives across disciplinary boundaries. Specifically, the Student
Advisory Council will help to bridge the gap between students, faculty, and staff
by providing a formal and informal space to network, exchange ideas, share research
on best practices, create an outlet for student input on campus climate and discuss
innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

Stuti Bagri
“I’m Stuti, a first year international student from Mumbai, India. I intend on majoring in Psychology and hopefully minoring in Dance. Keeping busy makes me happy and I love constantly doing stuff, be it reading, running, dancing, playing the piano or just looking up random trivia. I’m really looking forward to being on the Student Advisory Council next semester and working to make teaching as effective at Skidmore as possible.”
Elesa Davis
Elesa Davis is a Senior Social Work major with a minor in Intergroup Relations from Dayton, Ohio. Her interests in social work include education, social policy, counseling, and juvenile justice. Here at Skidmore, she works at the Scribner library as a student supervisor and volunteers in the Saratoga community.
Esmé Edwards
“Esmé Edwards is a Junior at Skidmore College, majoring in Social Work. Her Social Work practice interests include restorative justice, educational equity, school social work and criminal justice. At Skidmore Esmé is an e-board member of Bare and works in the Office of Civic Engagement/Community Service and is a member of the Student Executive Council for the Saratoga United Women’s Rights and Leadership Council.”
Rebecca Feldherr
Rebecca Feldherr (‘19) is a Sociology major with a concentration in race relations. This past summer she pursued one of her interests within the field through her internship at the Center for Advancing Opportunity, focusing specifically on racial disparities and the need for reform within the criminal justice system. Feldherr has also been intrigued by the intersections between documentary film and sociology, employing her volunteer work with homeless youth as inspiration for one of her most recent projects.
Dana Keyes-Gibbons
I am a gender studies major and studio art and intergroup relations minors from Seattle. At Skidmore I am also co-president of Bare Club, treasurer of Embroidery Club and a Peer Health Educator. I love painting, craft projects, and spending time in nature.
