Hello everyone, my name is Zac and I am a physics major (graduating in the fall semester) with a concentration in acoustics here at Skidmore! I am a musician and play all different string instruments, such as guitar, slide guitar, mandolin, fiddle, sitar, banjo, and whatever else you can think of. I LOVE music, but especially blues, jam-bands, and classical Indian music! My musical career began as a child at age six when my dad bought me my first guitar. My primary sources of inspiration for my unique style of slide guitar playing come from early and well-known blues musicians, such as Robert Johnson and Derek Trucks, as well as from Indian classical musicians such as Ravi Shankar and Ali Akbar Kahn. Some of my favorite bands/musicians are the Allman Brothers Band, the Grateful Dead, Dark Star Orchestra, Phish, the Tedeschi Trucks Band, and George Harrison. Something pretty cool, both the Allman Brothers Band and Phish played concerts at Skidmore College! You can catch me at open mic nights on campus or downtown at the famous Caffè Lena. I really look forward to meeting all of you and talking about Skidmore, music, or even physics!

I am a prospective Theater major with an Education minor, and on campus I am part of the JKB Theater Management Team (as Programs Manager). This is a picture of me braiding my friend Max's hair during a speed-through for our Director's Lab this past Spring; I can't wait to get up to similar shenanigans with you all during wonderful, wonderful Theater Pre-O! >>
