Come and join us in meeting other first-year students while experiencing some outdoor adventures!

Yoga/meditation sample experiences will be led by Jennifer Schmid-Fareed (fun, awesome lady) our regular weekly yoga instructor (no previous experience necessary). African drumming? Yup! Whitewater rafting? Yup! It is a balanced program with adrenaline surges and relaxation zones!

Our peer advisors are fantastic at weaving through those first awkward moments of meeting new people. While on this trip you will be staying at Camp Fowler in bunk cabins, so you will want to bring a sleeping bag and pillow.

You get the idea, so sign up make some friends, eat some s'mores, chill out in nature, do some yoga and ask the peer advisors any burning questions you have about Skidmore and Saratoga and be prepared for honest answers and lots of fun!

It is much colder in the Adirondacks so please bring layers!!!!

Day 1: Sign in for your program at 12:30 Porter Plaza and depart for Camp Fowler at 1:15

 

  • Arrive at Camp Fowler around 3:00
  • Ice Breakers
  • 5:30 Meditation
  • 6:00 Dinner
  • 7:00 Surprise event
  • 10:00 Bonfire and S’mores

Day 2: 8am Breakfast

  • Morning Yoga
  • Silent walk/hike
  • Afternoon Yoga
  • Chill’
  • Dinner
  • Sheldon Solomon talk
  • Bon fire/bonding

Day 3: 7am breakfast

  • Load bus
  • Whitewater rafting
  • Chill time
  • Dinner
  • Bonfire

Day 4: Breakfast

  • Load buses back to campus for Orientation
