TAPAS  August 29-September 1
TrAnsfer Pre-orientation At SkidmoreGeyser State Park

TAPAS is just that, a sample-sized program designed to introduce transfer students to Skidmore and our surrounding area of Saratoga Springs and beyond. In this program you will have the opportunity to see all Saratoga Springs has to offer. For example, you may take a trip to the historic race track and spend a day at the races or spend a day at the state park with its healing waters, mineral springs and natural geyser! You will definitely sample local restaurants and ice-cream parlors. You may go to Comedy Works, a concert at SPAC or down to the farmers market and make a meal with your bounty. Saratoga Springs is a very busy place in the summer, with a lot of local events and a lot of activities. Come and explore your new home with other transfer students. This program is led by upper-class peer advisors who entered Skidmore as transfers and who are dedicated to introducing you to your new community and friends!

Registration will open on June 1. The fee for this program is $450. Need-based scholarship available; please apply here.

You will move into your housing assignment on August 29th at 10:30 a.m. and sleep in your room on campus for the duration of your program.
