Spring 2021 Housing Process
We will not be conducting a new housing selection process for students for the Spring 2021 semester; however, we will be providing students the opportunity to explore options for the Spring such as room changes.
We have put this page together as a resource for information for students in the hopes of making this process as clear as possible. Please select the example closest to your situation for the Spring/Fall below to read more about your next steps.

Students who studied remotely for Fall 2020 should complete the Spring 2021 Intent Form on our Housing Management System by November 15th.
You will use this form to share your plans for Spring 2021. Below are some examples of what your options look like.
1. Continue studying remotely
If you plan to continue studying remotely, we will ask about your address. Please remember to plan your academic schedule accordingly.
2. Take a Leave
If you plan to take a leave for the Spring 2021 semester, please visit the Office of Academic Advising's page with all of the necessary information.
3. Study Away
If you plan to participate in a study abroad or domestic study away program, please let us know via the form. No additional steps are necessary
4. Return to Campus
If you plan to return to on campus housing, please consider your preferences. We will do our best to meet your housing preferences on a space available basis.
In addition to sharing the room type (single, double, apartment) you are interested in, you will have the opportunity to share your building preference, roommate preference, and special interest housing preferences.
5. Live Off Campus Locally
If you plan to return to Saratoga Springs, but live in off campus housing, please be prepared to share your address and landlord information.
Students who were on a leave for Fall 2020 should complete the Spring 2021 Intent Form on our Housing Management System by November 15th..

Those living on campus for Fall 2020 also have a few options. Please review your options below for further information.
1. I want to stay in my Fall 2020 assignment
If you want to stay in your assignment, no next steps are needed.
2. I want a room change to another space on campus
If you are interested in room changing, please complete the Spring 2021 Room Change Form by November 15th. This form will provide you the opportunity to share your building preferences, special interest preferences, and roommate/housemate preferences.
3. I have a vacancy in my space and want a friend to move in.
For students living in a double on their own, you have the option to pull a friend into the space with you. If they are currently studying remotely, on a leave, or living in the Courtyard, they will need to list you as their preferred roommate in their Spring 2021 Intent form. If they are living on campus too, they will need to indicate your room and you in a Room Change form.
You will need to complete the Spring 2021 Roommate Request Form by November 15th.
For students in apartments with vacancies, you also have the option to have a friend(s) join you. The entire apartment must be in agreement. If your friend is studying remotely, on a leave, or living in the Courtyard, they will need to list you as their preferred housemate in their Spring 2021 Intent form. If they are currently living on campusm they will need to indicate your apartment and you in a Room Change form.
You will need to complete the Spring 2021 Housemate Request Form by November 15th.
4. I want to Study Remotely
If you wish to study remotely, please complete the Spring 2021 Intent Form on our Housing Management System by November 15th.
5. I want to take a leave
If you are interested in taking a leave for Spring 2021, you should work with the Office of Academic Advising and complete the Spring 2021 Intent Form.
6. I will be participating in a study away program
If you have applied to study away, you should complete the Spring 2021 Intent Form.
7. I want to move off campus
If you plan to move off campus for the Spring semester, you should complete the Spring 2021 Intent Form where you will provide us with your off campus address.
For residents of the Courtyard, we ask that you complete the Spring 2021 Intent Form via our Housing Management System by November 15th. This form will help us prioritize your placement on campus.
