Save the Dates
The following are upcoming events that will be held for the Skidmore Retiree Community. Please take a moment to review and mark them on your calendar. As the dates get closer, individual invitations will be sent out.
Sarah Sweeney (Art) will moderate a faculty panel presenting a variety of approaches to on-line teaching across a range of disciplines. When in the summer of 2020 it became clear that COVID-19 would profoundly affect how Skidmore could deliver the curriculum, a multi-disciplinary faculty group of ‘Innovation Coordinators’ worked closely with other faculty to imagine new possibilities of teaching in a hybrid mode or remotely using Zoom. Some of the leaders in this experiment will discuss the challenges, successes, and shortcomings they faced and how the students responded. Panelists include: Bernardo Ramírez-Ríos (Anthropology), Jason Ohlberg (Dance), Winston Grady-Willis (Black Studies) and Jennifer Cholnoky (Geosciences).
Zoom log-in information will be sent in email to retirees, or contact Terry Diggory email@example.com; 518-860-0262.
Retired faculty who might wish to offer a program for an alumni club have a standing invitation to get involved. Please contact Mike Sposili, Executive Director of Alumni Affairs, to indicate your interest in such involvement, and when and where you might be available. Thanks for considering!
