How Human Resources supports Skidmore

Human Resources works with employees, supervisors, and campus leaders to support a fair, respectful, and well-managed workplace. HR helps recruit and retain talented faculty, administrators, and staff; administer benefits, compensation, employment practices, labor relations, HR systems, and records; and provide training and development opportunities.

HR also serves as a resource for employees and departments navigating questions, concerns, workplace change, and organizational needs. The goal is to help people understand available resources, apply policies consistently, and support the workplace that makes Skidmore’s educational mission possible.
