Thoroughbred Thanks
Use Thoroughbred Thanks to recognize a Skidmore colleague who goes above and beyond. Members of the Skidmore community can express appreciation for excellent work, teamwork, problem-solving, positive change, integrity, and contributions that support the College.
Recipients of Thoroughbred Thanks are entered into a special prize drawing at the Annual Employee Retirement and Recognition (R&R) Event.
Gifts and memorial donations
Departments may recognize significant life events affecting a colleague, including hospitalization, recovery from a medical procedure, disability leave, the birth or adoption of a child, the death of an immediate family member, or the death of a Skidmore employee or retiree.
Departments may spend approximately $50 on flowers, a gift basket, or a memorial donation, charged to a departmental credit card. Individual gestures are not reimbursable. For general questions, contact HR at hr@skidmore.edu. For questions about credit card charges, contact Accounts Payable at accountspayable@skidmore.edu.
