The mission of Facilities Services is to maximize student achievement through purposeful and efficient facility management practices while striving for excellence in the services we provide. We are committed to achieving excellent customer service while embracing the increasing demands of a rapidly changing environment. Our goal is to be a steward of the campus as we provide services in a proactive, responsive, cost-effective and environmentally sustainable manner. Our department includes Mechanical Trades, Building Trades, General Maintenance, Grounds Services, Event Set-ups, Custodial Services, Painting Services and Pest Control.

Facilities Services campus wide updates

Over the past 3 years Facilities Services has been working diligently to adapt to the many challenges and changes occurring across the campus due to COVID-19.  As we prepare for the upcoming fall semester, we continue to utilize our resources to clean and prepare the campus for a full reopening including restoring all spaces to pre-pandemic occupancy, while also cleaning each space.  In addition, Facilities has also worked with consultants to review all HVAC systems to ensure they are operating at their maximum capacity. 

As we worked through these challenges, we also worked to review our procedures and protocols in an effort to create more efficiencies, increase sustainability efforts and align our services with current staffing and budget guidelines. The Facilities website has been updated to reflect the current procedures and protocols and examples of some changes are as follows:

• After careful evaluation, we ask that the occupants empty their office trash and recycle bins as needed in the main corridor receptacles which are positioned or have been added near most offices. We will also take a sustainable approach to eliminate trash can liners in offices.
• Effective Sept 1st Facilities will schedule the cleaning of all departmental workspace and offices on a monthly basis.  Occupants may request additional cleaning as needed by submitting a work order requests which will be reviewed, prioritized and scheduled accordingly.
