Course Description
Elections around the world

A comparative study of elections across different political systems. This course explores
the rules that structure how we select leaders to represent us and the behavior in
response to those rules. The course is a global overview of modern elections, including
those held in authoritarian countries. Two questions motivate our journey in this
course. First, do elections matter? Second, how should we hold elections?
