Scribner Faculty Information
Scribner Seminar instructors serve as faculty mentors for students' first two years at Skidmore. Students' first formal encounter with their mentors will occur during orientation, when faculty mentors have their first session with students in their seminar. In addition to the regular class meetings, faculty mentors will hold regular mentoring discussions with their Seminar students throughout the fall semester, and during the advising period before registration for the coming semester. Faculty mentors are committed to devoting their time weekly to mentoring and mentoring activities; the opportunity to have such a close relationship with a faculty mentor is one of the greatest benefits of attending a liberal arts college like Skidmore.
