- Charlotte Wieghard Fahey, professor emerita of chemistry, died on February 1, 1995, in Saratoga Springs.
- Alton A. Markley, a forty-year professor of chemistry, died March 24, 1983.
- Betty (Boyer) Platt, who supported several academic departments at Skidmore for two decades, died Jan. 29, 2021. She was 98.
- Professor of Chemistry Emerita Eleanor Samworth, who worked for gender equality among Skidmore faculty and in the field of chemistry and helped establish the College's physics major, died on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022. She was 86.
