2021-22 health and safety guidelines

Skidmore has established the following masking, social distancing, dining, and visitor guidelines for various campus settings and scenarios, in accordance with the current COVID-19 transmission rate in Saratoga County, as categorized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The College will also operate at a "yellow" status level while COVID-19 is designated as an infectious airborne disease under the New York State HERO Act.

The College has set forth two status levels:

Green

Green

“low to moderate” county transmission rate

Yellow

yellow

“substantial to high” county transmission rate
and/or while COVID-19 is designated as an
infectious airborne disease under the NYS HERO Act

Please reference these charts in determining what precautionary health and safety measures apply to you based on the current campus status level. We ask all members of our community to take their individual responsibility seriously and to act with care and respect for others always.

A red level would be reserved for an outbreak situation on campus. If an outbreak were to occur, the College would be able to implement additional safeguards and will follow up with specific information to the Skidmore community about operational changes.

As a reminder, Skidmore is a mask-friendly campus and community and wearing a mask is always welcome, as it demonstrates empathy and a concern for the greater good. Those who wear a mask — for whatever reason — should  know that that they are always supported.
