I am a Behavioral and Experimental Economist, who uses both theoretical and experimental methods to understand the human motivation behind decision-making. My work attempts to understand the rationale for large coalitions and study the role of behavioral factors in stabilizing large coalitions in a laboratory setup. In ongoing experiments, I study the role of social norms in the under-representation of females, and betrayal aversion in safety products, also building a market-style experimental setup to answer questions related to trade and innovation in a general equilibrium framework.

My primary teaching interest includes using both Economics and Psychology insights to help students understand how choices are made in real life. I use in-class experiments and case studies to help students understand these concepts.  I greatly value integrating my scholarship into my classroom and engaging my students in my research.
