Robert Boyers, professor of English and editor, Salmagundi, led a recent “Town and Gown” discussion hosted by the Saratoga Film Forum following the Oct. 6 screening of the film Hannah Arendt, by Margarethe von Trotta. Von Trotta was on the Skidmore campus in 2007 to deliver the College’s Steloff Lecture and participate in a weeklong celebration of her work that Boyers organized.

David Karp, associate dean of student affairs, is the author of “Restorative justice helps all parties,” published Oct. 15 in The Times Union (Albany).

Beck Krefting, assistant professor of American studies, was a source for “Here’s the offal truth,” published Oct. 17 in The Post-Star (Glens Falls). The story explored cultural barriers to the consumption of organ meat, which is making a comeback in area restaurants.

Michelle Murray, assistant professor of health promotion, reports that the Center for Sex and Gender’s “Racy Reader” was featured in a recent blog post by Dick Cavett in The New York Times.

Feryaz Ocakli, assistant professor of government, was a source for “Local experts: U.S. in a no-win situation in Syria,” published Sept. 4 in The Daily Gazette.
