Housing Selection How-Tos

Please note that some of these guides are from the 2020-2021 academic year and will be updated as we get closer to this year's process. Outdated guides can be used to get a sense of the process, but information may be different.

We have created this site as a central location for information on the various tools available during housing selection. In addition, there are guides with instructions on how to use the various functions.

Each group member interested in living in an apartment needs to complete an apartment application.

Some applications allow you to cancel them.

Housemates

To check if your housemates have all accepted membership into your group, click on your active apartment application (it will say submitted). This only works if you have completed an application. Be sure to choose your active application (ie. the most recent one).

Scroll down and it will show your group status and your group member's names. Only groups with a Complete status will receive selection times. This means that all group members must have accepted membership into your group by completing the application. See the Apartment Application Guide for images.

Roommates

Click on your On Campus Housing Application after you have submitted it. Scroll down to the heading "Students Seeking a Double Room." Below that is a box that says "Roommate Preference" and if you selected a roommate, their name will be listed along with "confirmed" or "unconfirmed."

Roommate preferences must be confirmed prioro to selection for students to select doubles together.

Similarly to cancelling, some applications allow you to edit them.

In the event that it becomes necessary for the College to close before the end of the semester, students will be expected to travel to their permanent address or to one of their designated evacuation locations.
