South Park Archaeology Project

Volunteers

VolunteersVolunteers are the heart and soul of the South Park Archaeology Project. Of the twenty-five regulars who work on the project there is no one profile that can characterize them all. They are men and women and range in age from 17 to 70. They come from Park and Summit Counties as well as numerous Front Range communities, and they are highly educated to high school students. The characteristics they have in common are: intelligence, interest, motivation, dedication, and dependability.

The volunteers with SPArP undertake a variety of jobs. They provide assistance in the field, in the laboratory, and in spreading the word about the project. Perhaps most importantly, they provide more than a little push to keep the staff energized. We truly appreciate the work of the project's volunteers.
