- The Skidmore Orchestra's next concert, "Elgar the Elegant," will feature two of the most widely performed works of Edward Elgar, a British composer who wrote some of the most popular works in the English repertoire.

- Pianist Toby Blumenthal will be featured as a Sterne Virtuoso Artist with the Skidmore Orchestra at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, in Filene Recital Hall, playing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 19 in F Major, K. 459.
