Will's first deep sea fishing trip for bluefish- we learned a valuable lesson- get there early and stay in the back of the boat.
Fishing for weakfish in Barnegat Bay.

A 23 pound striper caught
in the Hudson May 2006.

May 2006, a 17 pound, and 2 23 pound striped bass.

This is why I have striper fever. After you catch one of these, a 13" Rainbow trout just doesn't seem really worth it the trouble.

Here is a Google Earth map of where we caught the stripers, literally 50 yards from Highway 787, just below Green Island and right across from Troy.
Will wrestling a couple of herring on the Hudson River. Rod tip high, rod butt under his harm, tongue out, the kid is going to be a professional basser for sure.
A 13" Rainbow trout from Kaydeross Creek.
Emily with a nice bass caught on Fish Creek, just up from Saratoga Lake. What you can't see is her very frustrated brother who has not caught any bass yet.
Will caught this monster 4 pound bass 5 minutes after Emily caught the above bass. It heralded the best 10 minutes of fishing I have ever had on Fish Creek. We caught 15 good largemouth and smallmouth. The only downside was that the kids now think that is the norm.

As you can see, he is just as happy with a small bass as a monster one. This 7" baby lunker was caught in the ponds by Yaddo.
Emily with a nice little Smallie on another part of Fish Creek near Victory.
Emily and Tess with a nice Bluegill caught in my favorite fishing hole on Fish Cree. I love this picture because you can see so much of each girl's personality in the picture. Emily in her soccer shorts and a dirty t-shirt; Tess fishing a nice dress. |

| Here is a 16” largemouth bass my son caught in Fish Creek with a purple Yamamoto worm. It was the first time I had ever brought my camera when I went fishing. Talk about a great dad moment. | Will with an 18" bluefish caught in Barnegat Bay, LBI. He reeled this monster in himself on one of those Zebco kids reels. I thought the drag and rod were going to give way, but fortunately not. |

Crabby-PattiesIs there anything more fun than kids and crabs? They would only pick them up after I declawed them. |
