The full hike of the Tongue Mountain Range is 12 miles, so we just climbed to the 5 mile shelter. We got a late start after playing soccer on a saturday afternoon, which was not a great idea. We turned around at 5:10pm rather than perserving to the top and then hiking back in complete darkness. Still a really pretty hike.
Here is the 3rd bridge you have to cross to get to the trail.
Here we are near the 5th Peak Lean To near the top of the Tongue Mountain Range.
Emily at the end of the hike. As you can see it is getting pretty dark, and in about 1 minute 4 or 5 deer are going to run across the trail in front of us and scare the beejesus out of and in 3 minutes, about 30 seconds after we get in the car, it is going to rain cats and dogs.
