Joerg Bibow
Professor of Economics

I grew up in Hamburg, northern Germany, and have studied and worked in six countries, including South Africa, Italy, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Before and during my studies of economics at three different universities I gathered a number of years of work experience in the financial services industry (insurance, pension fund, and banking). I have also worked, as researcher and consultant, with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Geneva, Switzerland, and I am a research associate at the Levy Economics Institute of Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson, NY, and a member of the Bretton Woods Committee, Washington, DC.
