Expand web resources

While College Relations has assumed leadership of the external portions of Skidmore's web (e.g. Admissions, College Relations, conferences, special events, ...), the internal web pages have fallen behind the times and badly need a major renovation.

In addition, the College needs to:

  1. Develop an expectation that all offices and departments will maintain accurate and complete pages for their areas of responsibility.

  2. Develop support resources, such as trained students, technology mentors, and simple presentation templates, to help offices fulfill this responsibility.

  3. Develop faculty support resources to span the range from those who mainly want to post electronic syllabi, to those who use the web for complex educational interactions.

  4. Portal-like services should be an integral component of the new Student Information System.

  5. Enhance the potential role for the web as a tool for improving campus communications and developing broader participation in developing a common vision for Skidmore's future.
