- Polling just a tiny fraction of the Skidmore community reveals a wide range of reasons to be thankful this year:
- "Knowledge is as food, and needs no less her temperance over appetite," said John Milton. Try telling that to the marathoners who unceasingly recited his "Paradise Lost" for 10 hours.
- "Each word is a lit match," says one reviewer of Nick Flynn's poetry. Flynn will read from his latest memoir and engage in a public conversation with English faculty members Wednesday, March 8.
- Skidmore's faculty in 2014 published books on topics ranging from the circus to the European Union, from classic television to children's literature and the Christian right, along with three new collections of poetry.
