It has been 50 years since Skidmore graduated its first Opportunity Program class! Please join us and other HEOP/AOC alumni in celebration during this milestone year.  

We look forward to welcoming all Opportunity Program alumni, staff and faculty back to connect and reconnect with each other and the Skidmore of today.

HEOP/AOP alumni gather in celebration with current and past faculty and staff of the Opportunity Program in a location that has been nicknamed “Saratoga Springs Black Elks Lodge.” Light refreshments will be served.

🌍 Opportunity Program Open House & Pre-Parade Gathering
Ladd Hall, first floor

Stop by the OP office for 50th Anniversary where we will be celebrating the Class of 1973, the first graduates of the program. Tour the office, learn about current programming, and pick up some OP swag. OP alumni will assemble at 10:15am to get their photo taken before leading the Parade of Classes.

Led by the Schenectady Pipe Band, Ltd., Alumni Awards recipients and the OP Alumni celebrating 50 years since the first graduating OP class. The parade proceeds from Case Green to Arthur Zankel Music Center.

Join us as we honor our 2023 Alumni Award honorees and celebrate the collective philanthropy of our reunion classes. All reunion attendees and their guests are welcome and encouraged to attend.

In the wake of the Varsity Blues Scandal and the Supreme Court case about race-conscious admissions, college admission professionals stand at the forefront of the national conversation about equity, fairness, who gets into college and how America shapes its workforce. Join Dr. Angel B. Pérez '98, CEO of the National Association for College Admission Counseling, for a conversation about the shifting landscape of American higher education and current trends in college admissions—and why a liberal arts education matters now more than ever.
