The following is an overview of benefits available to Skidmore employees for the calendar year 2026. You may also view previous year information for 2025 here. ‌2026 key updates for staff (non-union) and faculty

Medical/Prescription Plans

‌For All Plans (PPO, EPO, HDHP):

• No rate increases.
• ‌New $1,500 annual maternity doula reimbursement (after deducible is met).
• ‌Reminder about MVP's telemedicine and triage Gia virtual care app. Download now!

‌For PPO and EPO Plans: 

• ‌Increased family deductible to $600. 
• ‌Increased in-network medical out-of-pocket maximum to $1,750 individual/$3,400 family.
• ‌Increased out-of-network coinsurance to 30%. 
• ‌Increased out-of-network deductible to $300 individual/$900 family.
• Discontinuing future enrollments in the EPO plan (no new enrollments as of Jan. 1, 2026).

‌For HDHP Plan:

• ‌‌Deductibles increased to $1,700 individual/$3,400 family (federally required).
• ‌Reduction of out-of-pocket maximum to $3,300 individual/$6,600 family.
• ‌Health Savings Account (HSA) employer contribution increased to $850 individual/$1,700 family.

Dental Plans

• No plan changes. 

FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts)

• Elections into either FSA (health or dependent care) are required each year - annual elections DO NOT carry over.
• ‌The annual limit for the FSA Healthcare Reimbursement Account is $3,400 and the dependent care limit increases to $7,500. You can roll over up to $660 from 2025 to 2026 in the healthcare account.‌

Life Insurance

• No plan changes.
