ABOUT SKIDMORE COLLEGE
There would be no Skidmore College were it not for Lucy Skidmore Scribner, a frail lady with a will of iron who came to Saratoga Springs in 1900 to take the healing waters, fell in love with the charms of the unique resort town and decided to remain.
Explore over 100 years of Skidmore history, from its beginnings as the Young Women's Industrial Club in 1903, through the construction of the main campus in the 1960s and the switch to coeducation in 1971, up until present day.
It empowers us to combine different ideas, try new things and look at the world from a wide range of perspectives. Not just in the arts, but in science, business, economics, the humanities and every other endeavor. We have an altogether different way of doing things at Skidmore, and it all starts with our commitment to creative thinking.

CAMPUS ACCESS
The Skidmore Card is much more than a traditional ID. Not only does it identify you as a member of the Skidmore community, it also allows you access to the dining halls and other campus facilities; operates on the basis of a declining balance account for various purchases on and off campus; and holds all the information concerning your meal plan.
Parking is always free for Skidmore faculty and staff.

The Skidmore Urgent Notification System (SUNS) -- is the College's urgent notification system by which notification or timely warnings can be communicated to the campus community in the event of an emergency.
