Faculty-Staff: driver authorization procedures
Faculty and staff can become authorized to drive a College owned, leased or rented vehicle or golf cart, for Skidmore business, by following these procedures:
Driver Authorization Procedures:
- Read the Motor Vehicle Policy
- Complete the on-line Driver Safety Training Course (& Golf Cart Safety Training if applicable). Note: this is a one time training requirement.
- Fill out the Driver Authorization Application.
When application is received by Risk Management, a 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) will be obtained and reviewed. Applicants will be emailed their approval/denial within five business days.

To reserve a college-owned fleet vehicle - please use the following instructions
for scheduling a college-owned fleet vehicle. Reservations must be made 2 days (not including weekends) in advance of the date/time
you need the vehicle.
