Rebecca Shepard, Curatorial Assistant
Rebecca Shepard graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a major in studio art, and subsequently received a Masters in Art Education from The College of Saint Rose, and an MFA in painting from State University of New York at Albany. From 1997 - 2000 she served as Gallery Director at The Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy, New York. Shepard has done freelance curatorial work for the Art and Culture Program at the Albany International Airport, among other venues, and has contributed art reviews to both Metroland and the Albany Times Union. She taught foundation courses in drawing and color as Visiting Professor at Skidmore College from 2005 - 2009. Shepard has shown her own work regionally and nationally, including exhibits at the Lake George Arts Project in 2010, and at The Arts Center of the Capital Region in 2011.
