My name is Zoe Pagliaro and I, along with Michaela Bonforte, spent our summer stewarding Skidmore’s North Woods. From trail maintenance to bug hotels, here’s a look at what it was like to have a job where you’re required to explore nature and share it with others!

Skidmore's woodlands have grown by another 189 acres, thanks to a third gift of land from Michael and Margaret Roohan, owners of Granite & Marble Works in nearby Wilton, N.Y.

Skidmore College's North Woods, a large tract of forested land located directly north of the main campus and available for public use, will be the focus of a community service day on Saturday, Oct. 13. The event will bring local residents together with Skidmore students, faculty, and staff to help with trail maintenance, clean up, and erosion control.
