Saratoga Springs History Museum

The Saratoga Springs History Museum, located in the old casino in Congress Park, provides an internship opportunity that is both independent and educational. According to Museum Director, Jamie Parillo, each intern is treated like an employee, working on a project by project basis. The museum is constantly creating new exhibits and programing for the public like "Historic Fires of Saratoga Springs," "Two Hundred Years of Fashion in Saratoga Springs," and a program called "The Fall of the House of Walworth."

With its diversity of programs and exhibits, the museum is looking for interns from a wide variety of backgrounds including but not limited to history, government, economics, anthropology, american studies, sociology, business, and computer science.

Projects at the Museum may include:

1. Working on the museum's website.
2. Digitizing museum collections.
3. Research work for future exhibits.
4. Marketing for museum exhibits and programs.

The Saratoga Springs History Museum is highly competitive but is eager to find vibrant and driven students who are wiling to engage and tackle their own independent projects.
