Historic Newton

Public Programs Intern

Site Hours: Tuesday-Friday: 11 am to 5 pm; Saturday and Sunday: 12 Noon to 5 pm

"Historic Newton seeks a Public Programs Intern to assist with its dynamic and busy programming schedule.  Working with the Curator of Education, the intern will learn about programming from start to finish, including program development, marketing, and evaluation.  The intern will also assist in planning Historic Newton’s biggest event of the year, the Newton House Tour, including solicitation and coordination of the volunteers for this event.    Research skills, attention to detail, self-motivation and good computer skills are necessary; training will be provided. Historic Newton encourages the inquiry and exploration of Newton within the broad context of American history.
