Skidmore’s Dining Services staff, including Shelly Carpenter, Joe Greco, Matthew Holton, Mark Miller and Daniel Salazar, have been featured in multiple local media outlets, including News10, Saratoga Living, The Daily Gazette, The Saratogian and Saratoga Today after the Skidmore’s team won its sixth consecutive gold medal for culinary excellence in an American Culinary Federation (ACF) competition. Chef Joe Greco is scheduled to appear on NewsChannel 13 WNYT “Live at Noon” on Jan. 25.

Rachel SeligmanRachel Seligman, assistant director for curatorial affairs and Malloy Curator at the Tang Teaching Museum, was quoted in an article about an exhibition by Pakistani-American painter Ambreen Butt in The Art Newspaper.

Masami TamagawaMasami Tamagawa, senior teaching professor in the Department of World Languages and Literature, was quoted in news articles about the Japanese reality show “Terrace House” in Newsweek Japan and Slate

Kelly MelekisKelly Melekis, assistant professor of social work, published "Providing End-of-Life Care: Increased Empathy and Self-Efficacy Among Student Caregivers in Residential Homes for the Dying" in The American Journal of Hospice and Palliative Medicine with Carol Weisse of Union College and Bailey Hutchins ’19. The research is part of a program evaluation of the CARE (Community Action, Research and Education) fellowship program, which has provided education and training in end-of-life care to students in colleges that belong to the New York 6 Liberal Arts Consortium.
