Skidmore Spotlight: Brien Muller

Brien Muller, Skidmore’s ID card administrator, manages the database that controls what your Skidmore Card can do. He also supports the ID printers in the Card Office and elsewhere, works with the locks that the cards can access, and installs and maintains point-of-sale workstations for Dining Services.

Muller, who joined Skidmore more than 18 years ago, managed the information technology help desk in Scribner Library for 14 years before assuming his current role.

“My favorite aspect of the College is my interaction with people, especially the dozens of student workers I worked with at the help desk,” he said. “Some have become close friends whose weddings my wife and I have attended, and we meet up near and far. We even have an upcoming visit to Zurich later this year.“

“Over the years I’ve enjoyed women’s basketball games, senior art exhibits in the Tang and numerous performances in Zankel,” Muller added.

When he’s not at Skidmore, Muller enjoys bicycling and is a regular on the lawn for Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) classical performances.
