Skidmore Spotlight: Gina Hoefer

Gina Hoefer works as the financial aid coordinator in the Financial Aid Office. She provides warm, welcoming first impressions to students and families and manages student financial aid applications and records.  

Hoefer joined the College in 2013.  

“I like so much about Skidmore,” she said. “I would say that my number one is that it is an extremely family-friendly work environment.” She also enjoys taking lunchtime exercise classes at Skidmore.

For the first time this year, Hoefer attended Skidmore’s Stoles and Cords ceremony. “It was a wonderful ceremony for senior students to thank their mentors who had mentored them throughout their time at Skidmore,” she said. “I am pretty sure I teared up as each student thanked their mentor.”

Hoefer has also been a team leader for Skidmore Cares for the past three years. “I love that Skidmore gives back to the community,” she said.

When she’s not on campus, Hoefer enjoys spending time with her family, baking and taking walks with her dogs.
