Skidmore Spotlight: Lilly Routledge

January 22, 2020

Lilly Routledge works as the senior program coordinator for summer academics in the Office of Special Programs, coordinating and implementing Skidmore’s summer academic sessions, the Summer Studio Art Program and the Pre-College Program in the Liberal and Studio Arts, as well as coordinating the Ensemble Connect and McCormack Visiting Artist-Scholar residencies.

Routledge joined Skidmore in 2006, first working as the office coordinator in the Counseling Center for 10 years before moving to Special Programs in 2017 to take on the role of conferences and summer student housing coordinator. She transitioned to her current role in November 2019.

“I enjoy working with students and parents, helping them to navigate in some instances the unknown,” she said. “I’m grateful each day to work with this community of professionals.”

In the summer, she enjoys leisurely walks around campus and stopping at Haupt Pond to observe the wildlife. In the winter, she likes to look for student snow/ice art. She also looks forward to her daily iced coffee from Burgess Café.

Outside of work, one might find Routledge at Skidmore participating in the First Night 5K or other races that incorporate the campus into their route. She also enjoys hiking in the Adirondacks with her family and German shepherd, knitting, writing and traveling. Edinburgh, Scotland is currently her favorite travel destination.
