K. Aurelia Ball, assistant professor of chemistry, K. Aurelia Ballco-authored an article, "Engaging undergraduate students in computational chemistry research: A tutorial for new assistant professors," published in the International Journal of Quantum Chemistry.

Giuseppe Faustini, professor of Italian, published a Giuseppe Faustinione-act play in Italian, "Una famiglia, due culture," in the spring 2020 issue of VIA: Voices in Italian Americana, Vol. 35, N. 1. A staged reading and discussion were held at the Centro Italiano di Cultura di NY in 2018. The play was recognized with an award certificate by Italian contemporary author Dacia Maraini.

Kimberley Frederick, professor of chemistry, and Kimberley Frederickcolleagues from three research universities received a $75,000 grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to develop innovative approaches to the teaching of chemistry. The grant will continue through the 2020-2021 academic year.
