Faculty-Staff Achievements

Kristofer Covey, assistant professor of environmental studies and sciences, received $81,037 in funding from Florida Power and Light to support student research and inventorying of soil carbon on a commercial solar power field near Gainesville, Florida, this summer.    

Evan Mack, senior teaching professor of music, is featured in a composer profile by the lifestyle magazine Modern Singer. 

 

Ryan Richard Overbey, assistant professor of religious studies, has been awarded a Robert H.N. Ho Family Foundation Grant for Critical Editions and Scholarly Translations for a project titled “A study and translation of the Consecration Scripture.” The program assists scholars at all career stages, from Ph.D. candidates to senior faculty, and fellows conduct research on Buddhist traditions in China, India, Korea, Myanmar, Taiwan, Tibet and Thailand.
