Skidmore Spotlight: Eun-sil Lee

December 15, 2021

Eun-sil Lee

Eun-sil Lee, coordinator of upper-class initiatives in the Opportunity Program (OP), is responsible for advising all OP juniors and seniors on academic, career, and psychosocial issues, as well as all OP students interested in the health professions. She also creates programming for OP students throughout the year, oversees an academic research mentorship program, engages with alumni, and co-teaches some first-year courses.

Lee started as an adjunct lecturer in the Social Work Department in fall 2014 before becoming an OP staff member in January 2015.

“At Skidmore, I really enjoy the opportunity to get to know students from so many different places and seeing their growth over the years,” she said. “I also appreciate the supportive and collaborative spirit of colleagues across campus that I have met and gotten to know over the years. “

When she is not on campus, she enjoys spending time with family, kayaking, hiking, gardening, baking bread, reading, cooking, and going out to eat. Lee also serves on the board of the Saratoga Book Festival, which organized its first annual Book Festival in October.

“I also enjoy exploring new places when we can and try to get to a beach somewhere every year,” she added.
