Skidmore Spotlight: Li Zhang
Li Zhang, social sciences and data librarian in Scribner Library, serves as the liaison librarian for the Management and Business, Economics, Political Science, and International Affairs programs. As data librarian, he works with faculty and students from any department interested in incorporating data-related skills in their teaching or learning.
Zhang joined Skidmore this fall after working on his doctorate at Boston University, where he also taught undergraduate courses.
“I had never studied or worked at a small liberal arts college, and I was excited by this position. I know I would enjoy an environment like Skidmore for many reasons, such as the student-centered perspective and the opportunity to work with colleagues and students from different departments.”
When not on campus, Zhang enjoys the outdoors — hiking, kayaking, and fishing — and spending time with family.
