Yelena Biberman-Ocakli, associate professor of political science, published a peer-reviewed article, “China’s Security Strategy in Pakistan: Lessons for Washington,” with former student Jared Schwartz ’20 in the journal Asian Security. She also published a commentary, “What Kind of Neighbor is India Becoming,” for the Carter Center's India Policy initiative, and she gave an invited talk at the “Regional Dialogue: Contemporary Traditional and Non-Traditional Security Threats in South Asia” hosted by the Institute of Regional Studies in Islamabad, Pakistan.

David A. Snider, lecturer of arts administration, visited Dickinson College to support an artist residency focused on The Carlisle Project, a new piece of theater about the brutal, enforced schools dedicated to assimilating Indigenous youth into white culture in the U.S., including at Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Artists Ronee Penoi and Annalisa Dias are writing and researching via the college’s extensive archives, with the support of the arts center Snider leads, Hubbard Hall Center for the Arts and Education.
