The promise of a new year

September 6, 2023

As a new academic year at Skidmore gets underway, now is a time of great excitement and anticipation for the opportunities and possibilities to come. From making new connections, to expanding our ways of thinking in the classroom, to finding community and inspiration through music, theater, sports, and more, there is so much to look forward to.

President Conner welcomes all students, faculty, and staff to campus for what promises to be another fantastic year.

Our community will notice a number of exciting changes – either in progress or recently completed – to our physical campus, including the new Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences; the much-anticipated McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center, whose facilities will focus on the holistic health, fitness, and wellness of our entire student body; renovations across apartment buildings and residence halls; and improved collaborative spaces in Scribner Library. As our College community defines what we value most and plans for an even better tomorrow, Skidmore is thrilled to welcome you this fall as we make the most of the present.
